Join us in Penrith town centre on Saturday 19th March for a fun-filled family day out, as part of the 2016 Dalemain Marmalade Awards and Festival.
We'll be serving up a tasty food and craft market run by Made in Cumbria, as well as tempting cookery demonstrations and family activities. Paddington bear will be making a guest appearance, plus there'll be music, street theatre and storytelling to enjoy, all celebrating the wonderful world of bears and marmalade!
Free talks will include Michael Bond's daughter Karen Jankel telling us all about why Paddington loves marmalade!
As part of the Totally Locally initiative to promote Penrith the town's local shops and businesses will also go orange, entering into the festival spirit to celebrate the marmalade theme.
A free 'Orange Express' shuttle bus will operate between Penrith and the other festival venues of Dalemain and Rheged.
The festival will be fundraising for the designated charity Hospice at Home
