Sainsbury’s is looking for a new local charity to support
Sainsbury’s Local Charity of the Year scheme is back and the Penrith store is looking for a new charity to support from the Eden area.
Over the next few weeks, Sainsbury’s stores will make a shortlist of charities for customers to vote for. The winning charity will then receive a year of support from the store, which includes fundraising and awareness.
If you would like to apply, please register your interest at the customer service desk at Penrith Sainsbury’s or email firstname.lastname@example.org to be considered. The nominations close on 9th May.
Customers will be able to vote between 13th – 26th June in stores and online.
Tony Gale, Store Manager of Sainsbury’s, says: “There are so many fantastic charities in the local area who do brilliant work in our community. We’d love to hear from charities we haven’t supported before.”
The Sainsbury’s Local Charity of the Year scheme has raised over £9million over the last seven years and has helped thousands of charities across the UK.
