Penrith Players are excited to be staging the community theatre premier of Shakers: Under New Management by John Godber from 14th to 17th February.

This revamped version of the iconic play, Shakers - first performed in 1984 - sees the infamous Shakers bar under new management.

Waitresses Adele, Nicky and Mel have been tasked with the job of making the bar "a place to be seen" as the hospitality industry looks to a bright new post-Covid future.

Funny, physical and fizzing with wit, Shakers: Under New Management puts women front and centre as a spotlight is shone on their hectic lives and the punters they are forced to grapple with during the course of their shift.
